Learn:
The “stealth weapon” of effective negotiation
The difference between traditional negotiation and science based negotiation
The behavioral change stairway
Sure fire ways to blow a negotiation
Specific techniques and phrases to maximize the negotiation

Presenter:
BRUCE WIND was a Seattle Police Officer for 36-years. Besides the everyday conflicts of patrol work, he was a hostage/crisis negotiator for over a quarter of a century. Suicide interventions, barricaded suspects, hostage-takings and intervention with the mentally ill in crisis are all a common occurrence of the police negotiator. The ability to manipulate people’s decision making process is an art form and now in retirement, Bruce shares the verbal skills he used on a daily basis as a police crisis negotiator. In today’s Law Enforcement environment theses skills are more important than ever before. Bruce’s post law enforcement career includes teaching active listening skills to first responders and sharing stories of his 36-years in a patrol car. Bruce is a graduate of the FBI’s Crisis Negotiation Course and a qualified instructor in numerous aspects of police work.
