MY GOAL

Youth soccer is all about character development –giving players the opportunity to challenge themselves and learn what they can from the experience. On my team, developing soccer skills, playing the game, working hard and having fun are all about giving the players skills to apply in every day life. I hope you all will help me learn how to do this better, and your suggestions are always welcome. If you or your child are also interested in maximizing her soccer skills let me know and be sure to ask me about select soccer.

Below is the PAYSC Mission Statement. I hope you will take a moment to read it.

Mission Statement
Port Angeles Youth Soccer Club
May 28, 2005

Our goal is to let kids have fun while helping them build their character. We do this by creating a positive environment where kids can develop not only soccer skills, but life skills.

We seek to provide a solid foundation of soccer skills, for both players and coaches. We do this so that they can gain all of the many benefits of playing sports, and to prepare them if they choose to take their skills to the next level of play, the select soccer leagues, high school soccer and beyond.

All of our kids play as much soccer as possible. We accomplish this by requiring that every player play at least one half of every game they come to.

We value and encourage sportsmanship. We strive for this by encouraging our parents to always make only positive comments, to respect every player on the field, and importantly, to respect the referees and the other parents on the field.

We respect families by working to accommodate their scheduling needs, and teaching sportsmanship and respect.

See you on the pitch!
